Grant: "While on holiday over on the West Coast of New Zealand I came across this very crooked but interesting piece of Yellow Pine, a native NZ tree, on the beach. When I first saw this piece of wood on the beach I thought it would be difficult to make a Didge out of it. I was right... but I love a challenge. After many hours of sanding and preparing this Didge to highlight the wonderful colors and shades of the wood as well as the interesting nooks and creases that are all around it, the final product was really amazing. It has a very deep sound and is playable hands-free because the shape of it meant it sat freely on the floor handsfree which left my hands free to play the bongo drum as well. The length is 60" \ 152cm, but due to its odd shape, Effective Length is 73" \ 193cm".
